The Anti-Racism Accountability Group, which meets the second Wednesday of the month at 7pm, is a place for white queer folks and allies to do the hard work involved in developing anti-racist practices. This group is not exclusionary towards any race but we understand it is the responsibility of white people to develop ways to address, acknowledge and counteract our own internalized biases, as well as our white privilege. Our goal is not performative allyship, but we are looking to develop concrete and accessible actions.
The Anti-Racism Accountability Group is currently doing a Book Study of "The Fire This Time: A New Generation Speaks About Race" by Jesmyn Ward. Copies of this book have been made available with support from Oblong Books in Rhinebeck and Millerton.
